About
The Air We Breathe. The Brain We Protect.
Mission
Why we built this
Wildfire smoke is becoming a regular part of summer for many communities. Most people know it can make breathing harder; fewer know that researchers are also asking how it may affect the brain and mental well-being.
Breathe & Brain shares that research in clear, careful language for high school students, families, teachers and the public — including what science doesn't know yet.
We believe young people can be trusted communicators of science, and that stories, like Pinecone, help people feel what data alone cannot.
